Catered lunches and dinners for a group villa stay in Bali
How a group of ten to twenty can plan catered lunches and dinners at a Bali villa: which meals to book, what is included, staff, children and payment.

For a group of 10 to 20 sharing a Bali villa, the simplest plan is to book catered meals only for the times the whole group eats together, and leave the rest free. Our team for catered villa lunches and dinners cooks in your villa kitchen, serves, and cleans up, with one written quote for the whole stay.
Two questions come up often in enquiries from groups this size: how many staff will come, and whether tables and linens are included. This guide answers both, with the published lunch and dinner prices, a sample week, what the villa needs to provide and how payment works. myCHEF has served more than 5,000 events and 20,000 guests across Bali and Lombok.
- Book catered meals for the times the whole group eats together.
- Villa lunches start at IDR 544,500 and dinners at IDR 786,500 for each guest, all taxes included.
- Normal groceries, the chef team, serving and cleanup are in the price.
- Staff numbers grow with the group and are shown on the quote.
- Tables, linens and cutlery are added only when you ask for them.
Which meals should a group of 10 to 20 book?
Book the meals where everyone is home. For most groups that means an arrival dinner, a few dinners in the middle of the stay and one big night, with lunches on days the group stays by the pool. Breakfasts can stay simple. Leaving beach club and day trip meals free keeps the plan relaxed and the budget clear.
| Day | Suggested catered meal | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival day | Welcome dinner | Nobody wants to shop or book a table after a flight |
| Pool day | Shared lunch | The whole group is at the villa |
| Day trip days | No catering | Most guests eat out |
| Celebration night | Dinner or a BBQ | The big moment of the stay |
| Last full day | Farewell dinner | Ends the stay at home together |

What does a catered villa lunch or dinner include?
A villa lunch includes two starters, two mains, two sides, dessert and soft drinks. A villa dinner includes three starters, two mains, three sides, dessert, and coffee and tea. Both include normal groceries, the chef, the service team, setup and cleanup. Premium items such as lobster, imported beef and oysters are quoted separately.
| Package | Menu | From, for each guest, including tax and service |
|---|---|---|
| Villa lunch | 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides, dessert, soft drinks | IDR 544,500 (IDR 450,000++) |
| Villa dinner | 3 starters, 2 mains, 3 sides, dessert, coffee and tea | IDR 786,500 (IDR 650,000++) |
| Multi-day plan | Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks as chosen | Custom quote |
Travel and any premium upgrades are shown as separate lines on your quote, so the price for each guest stays clear.
How many staff come for a group this size?
One chef with an assistant covers up to 10 guests. Above that, the team grows with the guest count, the menu and the service style, so a plated dinner for 18 needs more hands than shared platters for 12. Your quote names the team for each meal, so you know exactly who will arrive at the villa.

Planning meals for a group villa stay?
Send your dates, villa, guest count with children's ages and the meals you want. We reply within 1 hour during service hours with a meal plan and a written quote.
Are tables, linens and cutlery included?
Not unless you ask. Catering includes the food, the chef team, our cooking equipment, serving platters, setup and cleanup of the areas we use. Tables, chairs, linens, cutlery and tents are added only when requested. Many villas already have enough tableware for a group, so check what the house has before you ask us to quote rentals.
- A working kitchen with stove, fridge and sink.
- Basic cookware and utensils, which most villas have.
- A dining table and chairs for the whole group.
- Kitchen access 2 to 3 hours before the meal.

How do you plan for children and dietary needs?
Send one list with every guest, marking children's ages, allergies and dietary needs. Children under 8 eat free and children aged 8 to 12 are half price. Our chefs are halal-certified and can prepare most menus halal. Allergies should be marked apart from dislikes, so the chef can plan safe dishes for each meal.

Catered meals or a villa chef: which fits your group?
Catered meals suit groups who want set menus with the food included in one price for each guest. A villa chef suits groups who want a flexible kitchen all day: IDR 3,267,000 a day including tax and service (IDR 2,700,000++), with groceries billed at actual cost against the original receipts.
Groups of around 10 often compare both. Read hiring a villa chef for a large group stay, or see our villa chef day rate for the details.
How far ahead should you book, and how does payment work?
Normal notice is 3 days and 2 days is fine, and in peak season plan 2 to 4 weeks ahead. A 50% deposit locks the dates and the balance is due the day before. Cancel 7 or more days before and everything comes back; with less than 7 days to go, half comes back.
Read the cancellation terms with your quote. Our service hours run from 08:00 to 22:00 daily.
FAQ
How much do catered villa lunches and dinners cost?
Villa lunches start at IDR 544,500 for each guest including tax and service (IDR 450,000++), and villa dinners at IDR 786,500 (IDR 650,000++). Normal groceries, the chef, the service team, setup and cleanup are included, and travel or premium items appear as separate lines on the quote.
Does the price already include the food?
Yes. Catered lunches and dinners are one price for each guest that already includes normal groceries, the chef team, our equipment, serving, setup and cleanup. A villa chef works differently: a day rate for the chef, with groceries billed at actual cost against the original receipts.
How many staff come for a group of 15?
One chef with an assistant covers up to 10 guests. Bigger groups get more staff, sized to the guest count, the menu and the service style. Your quote shows the team for each meal, so you know who arrives before the day.
Are tables, linens and cutlery included?
Not unless you ask for them. Catering includes the food, the chef team, our cooking equipment, serving platters, setup and cleanup of the areas we use. Tables, chairs, linens, cutlery and tents are added only when requested, or we use what your villa has.
How are children priced?
Children under 8 eat free and children aged 8 to 12 are half price. List the ages with your headcount for each meal, so the quote and the menu both reflect the children at the table and any simpler dishes they need.
When do we pay for a multi-day plan?
A 50% deposit locks the dates and the balance is due the day before. Cancel 7 or more days before and everything you paid comes back; cancel later and half comes back. Multi-day plans are quoted on the meals, days, guests, menu level and staff.
