Client Cancellations

Full refund of all payments made. No questions asked.

Half of the total amount refunded. Ingredients may already be ordered.

Less Than 7 Days

No refund. By this point, all ingredients are purchased and the chef has blocked their calendar.

Additional Deductions

  • Pre-purchased groceries or special items: If ingredients have already been purchased, those costs (with receipts) may be deducted from any refund.
  • Payment processing or bank fees: Non-refundable if already incurred.
  • If the final payment is not received by the deadline, the booking may be treated as a client cancellation.

MyChef Cancellations

MyChef Cancels

If MyChef or the assigned chef cancels or fails to deliver the service, you receive a full refund of all payments made.

Service Interrupted

If service begins but cannot be completed for reasons caused by MyChef or the chef, a fair refund will be issued based on time worked and service delivered.

Changes to Bookings

All change requests must be made directly to MyChef, and no later than 72 hours before the shift or booking starts.

Date, time, or location changes: Must be requested at least 72 hours in advance. Later changes cannot be guaranteed and may be treated as a cancellation.

Menu changes: Must be requested at least 72 hours before the booking. All changes are subject to chef availability and must be confirmed in writing by MyChef.

You can cancel your booking at any time. Cancellations made 14 or more days before the event receive a full refund. Cancellations between 7–13 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 7 days before are non-refundable.

Yes — if you cancel 14 or more days before your scheduled booking, you receive a 100% full refund of all payments made, no questions asked.

Unfortunately, no refund is provided for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event. By this point, all ingredients have been purchased and the chef has blocked their calendar exclusively for your booking.

We understand emergencies happen. Please contact us directly via WhatsApp as soon as possible. While our policy is firm due to perishable ingredients and chef scheduling, we review emergency requests on a case-by-case basis.

If the chef cannot perform because access to the property, kitchen, or guests is not provided at the agreed time, it is treated as a same-day cancellation and no refund applies. Please make sure access, power, water, and workspace are ready before the agreed start time.

For outdoor events, the client is responsible for a viable sheltered backup space. Where severe weather beyond either party's control prevents service, we work in good faith to reschedule, and any refund is issued net of unrecoverable costs already incurred (such as perishable groceries already purchased).
