Choose a format

What should your team get from the day?

Corporate team building in Bali works best when the activity fits the people and the purpose of the trip. We help coordinate the format, meals and transport around your company programme.

Start with the team, then choose the activity

Are colleagues meeting in person for the first time, celebrating a strong year or taking a break between planning sessions? Tell us what you want people to experience. A relaxed shared meal, a collaborative kitchen challenge and an adventurous day out create very different kinds of participation.

We use that brief to discuss a manageable shortlist, with the group size, available time and budget in view. You do not need to arrive with a finished itinerary. A clear objective and an honest picture of the team are more useful than a long list of activities.

Make room for different personalities

Some colleagues enjoy competition; others would rather contribute without being put on the spot. Cooking, plating, tasting, planning and hosting can offer different ways to take part in a chef-led session. A light challenge can be enjoyable without turning the day into another performance review.

Tell us about mobility needs, dietary restrictions, comfort with water, heat tolerance and any other participation requirements. We can then discuss appropriate options and alternatives. Participation in adventure activities should be a considered choice, with operator requirements understood before booking.

Chef-led activities

Bring everyone together around food

Our own chefs can lead food-based team activities at a suitable villa. We coordinate the proposed format with the available kitchen, work surfaces, dining space and your meeting agenda.

A collaborative cooking challenge

Small groups can share tasks, prepare dishes and present what they have made under chef guidance. A Balinese-inspired brief gives the day a connection to the destination, while a mystery-box format can add a playful element if that suits your team. Menus and practical tasks are agreed for the booking.

The setting matters as much as the idea. We need space for participants to work, safe access around cooking areas and a suitable place to share the meal. Larger teams may need smaller rotations or a modified format. We confirm what is workable after reviewing the villa facilities.

Market inspiration and a shared-table finish

A market-to-table concept can combine a local food brief with a guided kitchen session, where suitable logistics and timing allow. A communal feast can offer a gentler alternative: colleagues take part in selected preparations or presentation and then sit down together. The level of involvement is agreed in advance.

Food-based activities do not have to occupy a full day. A shorter session can sit between work blocks or lead naturally into dinner. If you simply want a standalone lesson, our private cooking class service explains that option; here we coordinate the activity as part of your company programme.

Days out

Build a company activity day beyond the villa

Outdoor and specialist activities are delivered by partners. We can coordinate their place in the itinerary, with transport and meals scoped around the operator’s requirements and confirmed availability.

Adventure with a realistic schedule

Rafting, ATV experiences or cycling are possible themes to discuss, subject to the location, operator and group suitability. The activity provider confirms eligibility, equipment, briefing requirements, capacity and safety arrangements. Tell us whether the group wants a gentle introduction or a more active day before we shortlist options.

Allow time for the journey, registration, changing, refreshments and the return trip. A schedule that looks short on a brochure can occupy much of the day once those details are included. We recommend choosing a clear main activity and protecting time for the team to enjoy it.

Lighter group games and facilitated formats

A beach venue, group challenge or facilitated team game may be more appropriate when the priority is conversation and shared time. Venue availability, suitable space, shade, access and any specialist facilitator are checked as part of the proposal. These are activity concepts to explore, not a promise of stock availability.

Cultural visits need a respectful brief and a suitable local partner. We do not turn religious ceremonies or sacred spaces into competitive game locations. If the company wants a community or sustainability theme, we first clarify the purpose and partner suitability before proposing a specific activity.

Example schedules

How could a half-day or full day fit together?

These are illustrative planning examples, not fixed packages or past-client case studies. The final timetable depends on your villa, team size, activity choice and confirmed arrangements.

Example A: work, cook and share dinner

Keep the morning available for your company meeting, followed by lunch and a genuine break. Later, the chefs introduce the agreed food challenge, divide participants into workable groups and guide the preparation. The session ends with a shared meal and time to enjoy everyone’s contribution.

This format can suit a team that wants to stay at the villa and avoid extra road travel. It also allows the organiser to connect the activity with the existing food programme. The kitchen review, staffing, ingredients, equipment and cleanup scope are confirmed before the event.

Example B: an activity and an unhurried lunch

Begin with breakfast before the agreed pickup. Travel to one partner activity, allow time for the briefing and participation, then gather for lunch in a suitable confirmed setting. Return with enough space in the agenda for showers, rest or a short closing discussion.

A BBQ can be considered where the venue has suitable access, cooking space and facilities. Otherwise, discuss an alternative lunch arrangement in the proposal. Avoid stacking several distant activities together simply to fill the day; the group’s experience matters more than the number of stops.

Planning and quote

What do we need to plan and price the day?

Send your dates, approximate headcount, villa location, available time and desired budget. We can turn those essentials into a shortlist with clear responsibilities and inclusions.

Check what the price actually covers

Your proposal should identify the activity, participant count, venue, staffing or facilitator, equipment, food and transport. Drinks, photography, extra rental items and additional time are separate considerations unless they are expressly included. This helps your company compare options without mistaking a basic activity ticket for a coordinated team day.

Chef-led sessions are delivered by myCHEF culinary staff; specialist adventures and facilitated activities are partner-delivered. Relevant operating permissions, insurance information and participation conditions should be reviewed with the provider. We do not claim to hold the specialist licences of an activity operator.

Agree the alternative before confirming

For outdoor plans, discuss the weather decision, the person who makes it and the available fallback. An indoor food activity may be an option where the villa and staff are suitable, but it should be scoped in advance rather than assumed to be a free substitute.

After choosing the format, confirm your participant details, dietary needs, meeting points and company decision-maker. Keep one final agenda shared with the coordinator. If timings or numbers change, review the impact on food, vehicles and partner bookings together so the written plan remains useful.

Shared meal on a villa dining table

Make the day part of a complete stay

Coordinate the activity with daily retreat meals, company transport and a closing company celebration. Each part can follow the same agenda, so your organiser has a clear view of the whole stay.

FAQ

Planning your team activities

Yes. Share the working agenda and the time you want to protect for meetings. We can discuss a short villa session, a half-day format or a separate activity day. Travel, setup and meal time should be included when assessing what fits.
Capacity depends on the format, venue and available team. Chef-led activities require workable preparation and dining space; partner activities follow their operator limits. Send the approximate headcount first, and we will confirm an appropriate format and participant arrangement in the proposal.
myCHEF chefs deliver the agreed culinary activities. Specialist adventures, outdoor activities and independent facilitators are provided by partners. Your proposal identifies those responsibilities so you know who is delivering each part of the day and what our coordination includes.
Chef-led formats can be planned at a suitable villa, subject to the kitchen, work surfaces, dining area and management approval. Send the property details or photographs of the relevant spaces. We will review what can be delivered there before confirming the format.
Tell us before selecting the programme. We can discuss a less physical format, different ways to participate or a separately scoped alternative. Any extra host, venue, meal or transfer needed for a split group should be included in the plan and quote.
No. These are examples of partner-delivered activities to discuss. Availability, participant requirements, location, weather conditions and the chosen operator determine what can be confirmed. We will not treat an activity as booked until the relevant arrangements have been agreed.
The proposal should state the weather decision process and any agreed alternative. A change may involve different staffing, a new venue, rescheduling or operator cancellation terms. An indoor option is only a confirmed fallback when its facilities, availability and cost have been checked.
Tell us the specific allergies and dietary needs before menu planning. The chef must review ingredients, handling and the shared kitchen environment. We can discuss suitable adjustments, but a group cooking session should not be assumed to provide an allergen-free environment.
Only the food stated in your proposal is included. A chef-led session may end with a shared meal, while an outdoor day may need a separate lunch booking. We confirm portions, dietary arrangements, refreshments and the service format with the activity plan.
Yes, subject to the agreed scope and partner availability. Our group transport planning connects villa pickups with the activity and return journey. Let us know if the team is split across properties or needs different return times.
The specialist operator delivers its activity briefing, equipment and operating procedures. Ask to review the relevant permissions, insurance information and participation conditions before confirming. myCHEF coordinates the wider programme and does not replace the operator’s role or specialist qualifications.
Photography or video can be discussed as a separately scoped partner service. Tell us the intended use and obtain participant permission before capture or sharing. The proposal should identify the coverage period and deliverables; photography is not automatically included with the activity.
A private cooking class focuses on the culinary lesson itself. A company activity plan considers the wider agenda, group participation, transport and meals. A chef-led challenge can be one part of that coordinated day.
Yes. Our corporate retreat service brings together accommodation sourcing, working spaces, meals, staff and transport as agreed in your brief. Team activities can be added to that programme, with each service and its costs clearly described.
No activity can guarantee better business performance or stronger working relationships. We help you choose a practical format that gives colleagues time to participate and interact. If you need specialist learning outcomes or facilitated organisational work, describe that requirement at the briefing stage.
Review the format, participant count, inclusions and any partner conditions in your proposal. The standard payment schedule is a 50% deposit, with the balance due the day before the event. Read the cancellation policy and any activity-specific terms before confirming.
